Mini Grants

Mini-grants are provided each year to qualified e-train advocates. Applicants must meet strict membership rules and prepare a successful grant application. Mini-grants are designed to aid in the development and implementation of instructional technology.

Grant recipients for 2007-08 will be announced soon.

Congratulations to e-train advocates of 2005-06 who received mini-grants!

2005-06 Grant Recipients
Nedra Atwell Nedra plans to develop a website for K-12 partners and to develop a database linked to her web pages.
Cynthia Houston Cynthia will explore, learn and master self publishing books for Kentucky English Language Learners.
Pam Jukes and Beverly Boulware Their mini-grant will allow Pam and Beverly to implement and model technology use with graduate and undergraduate students in field-based classroom settings and with on-campus classes.
Nathan Love Nathan's mini-grant will be used to help him create a map of Paris, France with roll-over links to documents, graphics, etc., concerning various sites and monuments and their history and significance.
Marge Maxwell Marge will have technology access anywhere/anytime to allow her to maintain online technology courses, collaborative projects with e-train colleagues, and students, when away from campus and will learn the use of video editing software to combine video, audio and text.
Connie Miller This mini-grant will allow Connie to increase accessibility to core content in her regular education classroom by students diagnosed with Mild, Moderate, and Severe Disabilities.
Charmaine Mosby Charmaine will complete her American Romanticism video project and incorporate it in her Reading, Writing, and Romanticism project. She will expand the e-train project to include more heros, literature of other cultures, increased teacher aids and scaffolding. Charmaine also plans to complete on-line grammar/usage reviews for PRAXIS and other users' use of animation.
Sherry Powers Sherry's mini-grant will allow her to develop "video messages" to accompany her assignments for her courses, add instructional videos on DVDs, and enhance her instruction through the use of video technology which will allow her to view and critique student-taught lessons one-on-one and in small groups.
Beckie Stobaugh Beckie will use her mini-grant to enhance her PowerPoints, web site and school news boradcasts.

 

The average size of the grant received by these e-train advocates is $1,250.
