kinds of exercises: Cloze (i.e., fill-in-the-blank), matching, multiple choice, crossword, and mix (or unscramble). First we create some activities with text alone. Then we will create more exercises

The purpose of this presentation is to discuss the implications of converting a traditionally text-based syllabus into a multimedia syllabus which provides students with essential course information that they can read, view, and listen to. Besides the theoretical decisions an instructor has to make when constructing a course syllabus, the presenter will address the technical challenges that the implementation of this project involved. The session will include the demonstration of a video syllabus for an online writing course.
Learning in the Palm of your Hand Marge Maxwell - April 8
One of the most striking benefits of PDAs is that they can be used at the site of learning whether in the classroom, another part of the school,or on a field trip. With just one computer in the classroom and a class set of PDAs there is no need to relocate the class to the computer lab. Numerous learning ideas for students will be presented. Marge has two excellent public school educators joining her in this session to share the uses they have found for Palms in teaching and learning.
